DI vs Short Stroke
IS OF NO GOOD
SHITS WHERE IT EATS
Look. Piston driven actions are for weapon systems originally designed for them. The AR platform was designed around A DI gas system. Now I’m not saying improvements on original designs are wrong, but changing the entire heart of the weapon to something completely different is stupid. All the Short stroke piston does is make your rifle slightly more reliable, makes your rifle heavier, decreases accuracy (The exact opposite of the AR platforms purpose. It was intended to be accurate as fuck) and causes carrier tilt. It can also encourage poor maintenance practices because “It work kinda lik da AK do.” which I have heard as an argument in favor of this system. If the AR’s receiver were made of steel, I’d be all about short stroke but since it’s not and carrier tilt is a bitch in an Aluminum receiver, I’d rather have a dirty gun that works than a clean gun that’s broken.
It does not make the rifle more reliable.
Dunk a DI gun and a short stroke gun underwater, pull them out, and then fire them. Tell me which one was more reliable then.
….. They’ll both work….
… DUNK! A DI gun will fucking explode of you don’t let all the water drain out.
You guys arguing that it’ll make it less accurate do know that the m27 is short-stroke.. And it’s accuracy is significantly better than the m4/m16 rifles. So yeah invalid argument
i don’t get why guys are so squeamish about girls not shaving during the winter. have you ever been outside in the winter? it hella cold. and hairy legs are just an adaptation to help stay warm during the winter months. girls with hairy legs showcase a fine set of survival skills and should be strong candidates for mating. you gotta start thinking practically, son.
